neither work nor play Augus (August) the 19th AD 1900 hundred Opened
up quite a warm cloudey morning wind from the South with a damp
atmosphere The thermometer registers a half past nine oclock this
morning at 82 Degrees tempature. And Still growing warmer. We arose
quite late this morning on the account of being the Sabath morning
and a day of rest as we are not feeling So young as we once have felt
but however after getting out of bed and getting on of our clothes
with renewed energy we taken up our dailey work again i renewed the

my wagon i then drove too the creek to water my teem and to hall a
barel of water. After compleeting hole i ungeered my teem then put

the cloud began to rise in that direction at half past eleven oclock
AM of Said day and did commence to rain at a few minutes past 12-oclock
AM with considerable thunder accompanying the cloud the thunder and
cloud passed around to the South mostley and also drifted around to
the north also as the cloud divided. But yet there was a Shower past
over my place at present although the Shower is increasing at this
writing. The prospects are favorable for a good Season at present.
My wife Kindled the fire to Serve her noons meal by to day at about
half past 12-oclock in the afternoon of today. From all appearances
there is at this writing a heaver (heavier) rain falling South east

our bed of repose by first calling upon the lord to gard and
protect us through the present night as he has through the day
just passed and gone. and when done with these frail body of
