Looking for any information on John Farrar who died in Travis County in 1848. Wife unknown. Children were: James Madison (b. 1840), John Abner (b. 1841), and Matilda Malinda Mary (b. 1842). After John Farrar died, these three children were placed under the guadianship of Lewis Henry Dillard. John's brother, Samuel Farrar of Shelby County, became guardian in 1855. He moved to Ellis County in 1857. What happened to these three children? Any help would be appreciated.

Andrew Wilson CALDWELL and Lula MASON appear in the 1880 Census for Travis Co. Austin City. He was a "Tinner". They had 4 children listed ranging from age 8 to 1 year. I cannot find Andrew Wilson on any other Federal census. Someone told me there was a hardware store in Austin called "CALDWELL & RIGGINS", but have not comfirmed that this was Andrew Wilson CALDWELL. In 1900 Lula MASON is in Georgia living with her son Charles Mason CALDWELL. I would appreciate any information on Andrew Wilson anyone may have and suspect that he died and is buried in Austin.

Anna Ondra married Joseph Phillips and had 5 children: Joseph, Frank, Anna, Cecilia, and Fred. This was Anna's 2nd marriage. She came to this country with 2 children: Adolph and Mary Ondra. Anna and Joseph died in Travis Co. Anna's 2 children (Adolph and Mary) were able to start their own lives. The 5 Phillips children were taken in by friends and raised, including my Grandmother (Cecilia). I started my genealogy research after my Grandmother died and no one knows where my Great Grandparents are buried. There seems to be some sort of scandel surrounding theirs deaths. If anyone has any suggestions on where to look-please email me. Also if any one has a list of cemetaries that date back to about 1904-1906, please email me that info. Thanks for the help.

His brother John Ulrich WUTHRICH had some transaction pertaining to Ulrich's property dated 6 March 1852, in Travis County.

Her father was William Henry PENNINGTON b.11 November 1848 in Round Rock and d.23 March 1919. Her mother was Annie Solemna BRATTON b. 13 October 1853 and d. 10 January 1920. They were married 30 November 1871. They had 7 children: Kate, Charles, William, Mary, Albertice, John, and Lura. I don't know anything about the parents or siblings of Henry Newel DAVIS except they were in the Austin area. Any information on any of these family members would be greatly appreciated.

STELFOX of STELFOX JEWELERS) in 1867 in Travis County,Texas. They had two sons born in Travis County. George Amos dob. 1866 and William James dob. 1867. James F. took his family to England in 1867 and he died in England Nov. 1867 from consumption. Elizabeth brought the boys back in 1868 and they were living with her father in Austin in the 1870 census. Elizabeth had a baby girl (Elizabeth Allen) in 1868 after James F. died and she died in 1870. George Amos and William James was baptised in St. Davids in Austin. Their sponsers were their mother, Elizabeth, Isbella STELFOX-grandmother, and J.H. Robinson. Elizabeth married John B. DAVIS in 1872 and they had one son, Henry DAVIS. Elizabeth married James B. MANOR of Gilliand Creek in 1875. James MANOR and Elizabeth had two daughters, Lucile, (who married Alfred Bloor) and Elizabeth who married (? Elliott).After James MANOR died Elizabeth married Marion C. ABRAMS. Elizabeth died in 1941 in Austin at the age of 101. Does anyone have information on these family members? He came to TX about 1838, became the first county surveyor of Brazos county in 1841, worked as an assistant clerk in the general land office throughout 1844, then in 1849 he is found to have already been in and out of the army and was an indian affairs authority, maybe a US indian agent. At his untimely death, he was involved in purchasing and surveying land in north TX for some Georgia politicians (Crawford and Toombs). His only son, Henry G. CATLETT came to TX from Missouri to take possession of his father's 28,000 acre share of land.

Recently I found a HUGH McLARRIN in the 1880 TX census in Travis County. 039 ED122. I do not know if this is the Hugh I am looking for. HUGH McLARRIN that I am researching came to America as a boy and landed in Charleston SC. I found him in 1850 in Tennessee. He joined the Confederate Army with his Grandson and left in the middle of the war discharged with disabilities. He was in his sixties. I lost him at that point. An old family story told of three KREISLE brothers coming to America around 1844. They were stowaways, so no record of them is on ship's passenger listings. My great grandfather, Magnus John KREISLE, b. 09Sep1824, in or near Bernau, Baden-Wurttemberg, d. 18Mar1885 may have been one of those three KREISLE siblings. His sibling group consisted of Josef,b. 1820,Germany, m. (?) Beck, Lorenz, b.Germany, himself, Eduard, b.1826, d.1845, Johannes George, b.1836 and Johannes, b.1842 Bernau,,Germany There is record of a John KREISLE,age 44, arriving in Galveston area on the Andacia in 1846. I am seeking information on the descendants of W.M. SUMMERS & Sarah Etter (CARTER) SUMMERS. William was born 8/11/1842, the son of James F. & Luca A. (BROILS) SUMMERS of TN. William came to TX with his parents in 1860. The family settled in Travis County TX. In 1861 William enlisted in CO B, Eighteenth TX Calvary and served in the CSA, during which time he was captured and traded twice. After Civil War he moved to Waco, McLennan County TX and operated a grocery store. He married Sarah Etter CARTER 1/1/1867 in Travis County TX. Sarah was born 3/17/1847 in Tippah MS, the daughter of James & Salina R. (DEAN) CARTER. William and Sarah were considered prominent persons in McLennan County TX. William was involved in Civic affairs and was a staunch Democrat of his time. The family were Methodist and attended the Methodist Episcopal Church in Waco. In 1877 the family was living on a large and prosperous farm in McLennan County. William died 12/30/1907 and Sarah died 12/15/1921. They are buried side by side, double grave stone, at Crawford TX, which is either in McLennon or Coryell County. I am very interested in information concerning the descendants of W.M. and Sarah E. He had a brother named Loll ROBINSON, who may also have lived in Travis County with his wife Martha ROBINSON, before moving to the Kimball Bend area of Bosque County (I believe they were all from Tennessee). Loll and Martha had at least one son, my great grandfather, Thomas J. (Jefferson, perhaps), who married a woman named Amelia and father two sons, my grandfather, Benjamin Franklin ROBINSON and Gene ROBINSON (never married). Thomas J. died before 1880. He and his parents are buried in the Kimball Cemetery near Kopperl.

JACOB FELPS son of BRITTIAN and SUZANNA WAGGONER born in ROWAN CO.NC..moved to LINCLON TN. and then to BlANCO Co. TX. many of BRITTIAN'S children moved to Blanco Co.Tx.then on to Travis County.
